General Availability (GA) is open-ended and it's when everyone can try to register the domain names they want in real time.
For most new gTLDs, we accept pre-orders for the General Availability launch on a first come, first served basis, and our systems will register domains the very second that General Availability begins. We accept only one pre-order per domain name, and you'll receive a full refund should we be unable to secure your domain name.

Governed by the registry and also known as Early Access, this phase allows customers to pay a premium to register their domain before General Availability begins. This is typically used to register popular generic terms and may include an auction.

Category for legal entities of any type (companies or non-for-profit) with their legal seat or place of business in the Comunidad de Madrid to register:

• Their corporate registered names and trade names, including clear variations and/or abbreviations thereof; and

• Labels matching domain names registered by them in other TLDs prior to 04.07.2019 and effectively used in connection to the entity’s activities.

Category for legal entities to register:

• Non TMCH-validated trademarks registered before 04.07.2019 with effect in the Region of Madrid (i.e. Spanish trademarks, European Union trade marks, and WIPO International trademarks with effect in Spain) and

• Geographical Indications recognized by International or Spanish legislation.

Domains are open for registration by trademark holders who have registered their mark with the Trademark Clearinghouse.

Category for Public Administrations with competences over and/or legal seat in the Region of Madrid to apply for:

• their own names or acronyms;

• the name of a building, park, monument, airport or other public place operated by the applying Public Authority;

• the name of a region, city, street, district or other geographic area under the governance of the applying Public Authority;

• the name of a recognized public service provided by the applying Public Authority.
