Heartbleed bug security advice - your questions answered

You probably heard about the Heartbleed bug last week in the news, as it was all over the press. If by some minor miracle you didn’t, this is the best explanation we’ve found. EuroDNS has not been affected but we’ve had a couple of questions, so we thought we'd put your mind at rest.

What is the Heartbleed bug?

The Heartbleed bug was found in the popular encryption software, OpenSSL, and potentially exposes your private data (including any passwords).

How do I protect myself ?

EuroDNS have not been affected by the Heartbleed bug. However, it is good practice to regularly update your passwords, especially those for critical services.

Most of the affected websites have now been patched. But if you are in doubt, you can use this tool to check if the website is affected or not.
